'Brace for Impact' was a piece of album cover art created for Bournemouth punk band, Kill the Colossi in the summer of 2021. This was a great experience collaborating with band members to portray specific details linked to album songs, whilst developing my style of wishy-washy, murky, grungey graphic illustration. I love artwork that has hidden meanings and it was interesting to explore ideas that were both subliminal and obvious with a touch of humour and frank honesty.
It has been an absolute please and privilege to have worked on illustrations for children's book, 'The Tinkers of Tanglewood' by Ella Maher. The book tells the story of a group of mischievous children and magical witches who encounter adventure and dilemmas within a scenic country village. I enjoyed bringing this story to life, undertaking a great depth of research to construct complex and detailed scenes, using watercolour to add vibrance and a sense of magic!
