Now that you have an idea about the kind of work I create, it's time to talk pricing. I work in a variety of media and at different sizes. My specialism is portraiture, but I am happy to consider other subject matter, such as animals, objects, buildings and cityscapes. This affects the length of time an artwork might take as some subjects and materials are more time-consuming than others. There may be several compositional components to consider, additional preparation time if secondary image research is required, tight timescales for completion, delivery costs and other factors to consider.
As such, it is worth noting that the below pricing is a guideline only. A more accurate quote will be given at the initial point of discussion once all factors are considered.
Small Sizes*:
A5 size (14.8 x 21 cm) - From £50 depending on complexity and materials requested.
A4 (21 x 29.7 cm) - Pencil from £250 - Watercolour - from £450 - Biro - from £650
Medium Size*:
A3 (29.7 x 42 cm) - Pencil from £450 - Watercolour from £650 - Biro from £850
Large sizes*:
A2 (42 x 59.4 cm) - Pencil from £1000 - Watercolour from £1500 - Biro from £2000
A1 (59.4 x 84.1 cm) - Pencil from £2000 - Watercolour from £2500 - Biro from £3000

How does it work?
1) Talk to me! We will discuss budget, size, composition, style, theme, components, colours, etc. A contract will be written with all the details and a deposit taken before the work is started.
2) Initial sketch. I will sketch out the composition of your artwork and you can tell me what needs to be changed before I begin.
3) The work is completed and you will recieve a photograph of the finished piece. I will make any last minute changes within reason, depending on the material used.
4) Final payment is made and the work is shipped out to you!
5) Share the love by showing the artwork to friends, family, social media, leave a review, refer me to a friend!
Here are some additional points to consider:
- I have a particular style. Look at my website to get a flavour for what I do. Let me know what you like! I excel with creative compositions and love adding geometric shapes, patterns, a splash, a drip or explosions of colour where I think it will work!
- I create work that is detailed and realistic, not abstract, so please don't ask me to do this. Asking for work to be less detailed will actually take me more time as I will have to take time to adjust my style, so will not be any cheaper.
- If you are providing photographs to inform the design, they need to be clear, well lit and at the angle that you want. I cannot work from a photograph that is too dark, small, pixelated or blurry.
- Please do not be put off by the request of a deposit. The process of creating a bespooke piece of art takes time, including the writing of a contract, and this is how I make my living. Typically I will charge a £30 retainer. Then 50% deposit upfront before any artwork begins (including the initial sketch).
- I cannot copy other artist's work, but I am more than happy to look at different styles for inspiration. 😊
